Took the XJ6/Divvy S to Gardener & White this morning. 9am mot, blergh

Straight on the brake tester - front all OK (cos I stripped & cleaned it, different m/c, Goodridge hose), back one; pedal goes clear to the floor, sorta like stepping onna plum.

Bugger bugger

"Can I take it away & come back later?" "where do you live? ohh there, no sir, you can't take it away".

"But if we put it on this ramp, and you have this box of customer grade tools, and bleed the brake yourself, we'll see what happens"

Rest of mot all OK, do bleeding, Paul mot man is happy person. I are happy person

He also put some air in the tyres, which meant the bike handled waaay better on the trip home.

I was chuffed

It's worth finding a good mot person and sticking with them. Previously it was Harley Pete, who motted every single bike I ever owned, although he once refused to even start on one particular incarnation of a SuperDream* because it was "too yellow". TBF, it was very, very yellow.

*That SuperDream had many incarnations

The SuperDream is now dead dude

The piiigs took an interested in it, referred it to the DVLA who muttered something about filling in paperwork, not changing frames/engines without telling them, revoked the number plate, demanded the bike was presented for Q-plating and generally pissed on my chips.
