Default For sale, ,low price, quick sale for a quick bike - zx9r

DSC00449.jpgDSC00454.jpg1998 zx9r 32k miles for sale, want to shift it quick as purchasing another bike so its available for a decent price

    Good bits;

Mechanically tip top, honestly most reliable bike Ive ever owned, never missed a beat in the 9k miles / almost 2 years I have owned it

Chain & sprockets about 3k miles ago
Decent tyres (less than 1000 miles on each)
New iridium plugs approx 2k miles ago
(since Ive had it, last 8k miles) Oil changed every 3k - castrol one
Full akra stainless system & jetted to suit (very quick)
    Carbon hugger
    Undertray
    DB screen

    Bad points:

Been dropped on its R/H side on my patio - mid panel cracked & repaired, end can split on the back (where is has hit the rear brake caliper) but repaired.

(from before I bought it) fairing "V" piece broken & crack in front fairing near headlight, front mudguard paint chipped.
Few other scuffs and scratches on the fairing.

Nothing structural, bike been "off the clock" several times and nothing has fell off!

Overall the bike is a bit tatty looking but a new R/H mid panel and V piece and a repaint is all that is required to make it sweet looking, but its good to go as it is.

I have been too busy enjoying riding it to worry about the cosmetics, it is a great bike to ride - very stable and surprises many a newer sportsbike due to how quick it is!
Very good all round bike really, comfortable even for tall riders (Im just shy of 6'3")

£1200 quid as it stands, £1300 quid with new MOT* and brake pads.
This is a lot of bike for not a lot of money - I want to sell it quickly to fund towards a new bike purchase

*MOT due in June / July IIRC - no reason it wont fly through like last year, taxed until July.

PM me an Email for pics

EDIT - In Hampshire, can possibly deliver.. subject to discussion!

Looks like a lovely bike and had it been a better time I would have snapped your hand off.

I'll gladly endorse the fact that that thing goes like shit off a shovel and the motor sounds as sweet as you like.

If you have the standard system you'd be better off putting it back on and selling it as standard. The lack of the akro won't make the bike any less desirable at £1,200 but should get you a few quid more if sold separately.

I recently sold my 2001 ZX7R which was in very good nick for £1,500, I priced it to sell as few of the 7R's on ebay were shifting and those that had, were at the £1,500 mark. However I put the bike back to bog standard and got another £1,500 by selling all the performance parts that were previously on it.

He would then have the cost of rejetting it

Whilst I appreciate the advice / offer I dont have time to fuck about with it too much, just an oil change and new pads at the weekend - the bike will be sold as it is.

If I had the time I could get a V piece, respray the scuffed panels so it looked spanky and put it up for £1500.

Anyone with a bit of time could buy it, spend maybe 100 quid and a couple of weekends on it and make themselves a few quid if they didnt want to hang on to it, or have a stonking bike on the cheap in time for summer

Pics sent - thought they were for you to look at?

Why put them on photobucket? Do they have a for sale section...?
