    You can actually get paraffin irons from the 1950's on eBay. Personally I think that tricking a man into doing the ironing like that isn't fair.

    Ha ha, that was the other part of the exhibition, there was a vast amount of different types of irons in the collection. I like the ones where you insert a piece of coal into them and placed atop the fire range. Wouldn't like one of those round the noggin, they weighed a tonne.

    You'd probably like the Castle Museum in York, full of stuff like that.

    You have to wonder where the obsession with flat clothing came from, I mean really, is it THAT important to have flat clothes?
