    Default Pembrokeshire recommendations

We are heading to welsh wales on saturday (following a one night stop in wales, just south of cardiff). We have 3 nights at St. Davids and then 3 nights at Broadhaven. We will be going in the camper van so travel options are limited to walking or bus.

    Any recommendations gratefully received

Thanks. Bit tricky getting the camper van in the top box though, I knew I should have gone for 64lt instead of 56

The Cathedral at St David's is worth seeing, though obviously quite small.
Dale, as mentioned previously. Don't know what bus service is like, but there is one.
Haverfordwest is probably not really a big worth it. Nice enough, but just a town really.
Pembroke and Tenby are nice places. Tenby more beach orientated. Not sure what the weather and economy will have done to the numbers of visitors. Tenby and Saundersfoot can be problematic in summer peaks.
Side trips up to Aberaeron could work, but that's a bit further out of your way.

Are you taking kids or just adults.

Travelling, a good stop off point is Aberdulais Falls - National trust so great tea and cake shop.
Aberdulais Tin Works and Waterfall - Visitor information - National Trust

The gun tower museum at Pembroke dock is worth a visit - guntowermuseum.org.uk - Take the bridge over at Nayland to get to it. Great views.

Dale is nice, little sailing cove, good views, but just before you get to it there's a pull in near the bay before and if you walk all the way along the beach too the river with lots of stepping stones across, a small dam holding in a lake for a nature reserve. Bit hidden, great views and peace and quiet.

AT Nolton, they do horse riding on the beach down by Druidstone. It's a great beach with an environmental house tucked into the hillside and caves on the beach, great rock hopping/ climbing. There's a huge cave that goes all the way through the outcrop to the other side.

I seem to remember Broad haven and little haven being hilly and very narrow roads, so they'll be fun in a camper. The beach at Newgale is popular.

Solva is supposed to be nice but the car parking was busy.

The motor museum was a little naff: Pembrokeshire Motor Museum but there's a good garden centre, with excellent restaurant and tea room and an art gallery near Roch Hilton Court Gardens and Crafts

On the way to Haverford west from the motorway, you'll pass signs for the chocolate museum Chocolate from The Welsh Chocolate Farm - Pemberton's Chocolates
That's not bad, but a small car park and can get busy.

I'm in a lwb sprinter camper van. I pay no attention to full car parks, the owners of the 6 cars blocked in will soon come and find me

Just checked with SWMBO, its the other south that is actually west, by about 10 miles. Glad I asked now, I would have taken the turn into cardiff and faced the blank look when I asked "right love, which way now"

Visit my MiL, she lives in St Davids.

Take a couple of the boat trips around the islands.

If you walk down to Whitesands beach you can walk where i proposed to Mrs Weeksy.
