It depends how you measure what's "equivalent" ...
In London the sleeping platform (bed made from scaffold poles) has been a work around for yonks.. provided one has a Victorian / lofty ceiling. These are old ideas with servos, a pulley system would be less noisy, greener and more elegant. It looks rather dated and 70s prime example the slow wirring hatch on the wine cellar, Just use your arms!

Shitty video and my short attention span made me skip through. Good idea I suppose but frankly my dear I'd rather have a conventional flat with open defined spaces. Didn't notice a kitchen or did I miss it?
Motorhome manufacturers beat him to it by years, and even Barratt had studio apartments with fold away bedrooms back in the early 80s.... probably be better reinventing the prefab for all those that cant afford to live in fancy tower blocks
the real illusion here folks is the way they have taken something which probably costs a lot of money, and made it all seem a bit cheap and shopping channel

That's just like posh caravan. Why not just live somewhere, where you can afford to buy a big place, rather than settle for a compromise ?
