    Default Collective Nouns

Ok, I've done a search to keep the pedants happy, it's either shit or my search fu is weak.

So, let's have a fun thread of possible collective nouns.

What is the collective noun for a group of road builders?

    A tarmac?
    A traffic jam?
    A construction?
    A hold-up?

We did this on VD I think, the best one which was highly topical at the time (and once again) was "a strike of firemen"

    A sentence of schoolies

    A spunk of sluts

    A bunch of c.unts

    A forum of pedants

A dawdle of pedestrians. Especially the family group which always contains at least one person incapable of walking fatser than 1 mph and which spreads itself across the whole width of any footpath it uses.

EDIT: Just noticed "fatser". There's always a fatso in a dawdle so I think I'll leave it.

Just near the end of my book, there is a scene where the protagonist chats with a Welsh poet, near the Leptis Magna ruin, near the southern margin of Virginia Water - between Windsor and Egham... One of the most hallowed and beautiful places anywhere ...

But walking ( or running ) the 4.2 miles around the lake, one sees rather a lot of the inconsiderate behaviour you mention

Sometimes it is as if people are blindfolded and playing those "icebreaker" games at business workshops.

But they aren't. They are just inconsiderate fools.

Sorry, I just happened to know that sl would get the reference.

And it IS a good local example of what he mentioned. VAST open spaces and wide pathways, and people still managing to obstruct others ...

Nope, just ever so close to actually using the ignore function on you, which kind of goes against my ignore ethos. We get it, you scrawled a not very interesting book. I know, I bought it. I'm sure those on here who were going to buy it, have bought it. It's beyond dull the continuous "in my book".

Horrible? I mainly only purchased your book to to be nice and support you. If you want horrible.... I'll be horrible. Your book is possibly the shitest book I have ever had the misfortune to open.

If they do that I realise they are busy people so help them by putting items in their trolley for them. I'm nice like that
