    Default Decibel Killers

Hi Guy's, thought I'd try for some help on this in here.......

I want to get some decibel killers for a pair of 45mm termis - I've already done a thread search, had a look on e-bay and googled it but with no success - can anyone suggest a supplier?

Reason being that I have my first track day booked and am looking at taking them along just in case!

    Thanks.

Have you / anyone had any experience of them - do they make a noticable difference?

Only time I have seen one used was on a track day years ago to get a race bike through the noise check.
It passed fine static and fly by until the dB eater flew out.
Pays to make sure they are done up tight.

Thanks Drunkn Munky, I'll have a measure when I get home but think they may be slightly too big diam.

I rang Demon Tweaks to order the ones Adam found but the guy I spoke to didn't reccomend them for the Termis, he said that they are made primarily for Scorpian (IIRC) cans and on track days has seen several after market cans split apart by similar items.

I'm borrowing a sound level meter from work and will test the bike out at the weekend and then go from there, they do next day delivery so shouldn't be a problem if I decide to get some - so thank you all for the suggestions .

The baffles in my Quill 2 cans look similar to those decibel killers just without the multiple holes... wonder if I could fit one of those shorter ones instead. Find my cans too quiet with the stock ones in and too loud without.

    Just as an update:

I tested my 748 with the 45mm Termi end cans with a sound level meter from work and they held around 100 / 101 decibels at 5500 revs so I decided to run with them.

It was a Focussed Events track day at Brands GP and they tested all bikes; mine hit 100 at 5000 revs on their meter, so fortunately was just inside the 101 limit!

Day was great fun although very wet !!
