Heated grips not getting hot

For some reason my heated grips never get hot on the maximum setting just mild warm at best and take an age to get there.

They used to get very hot on max temp and not sure when this change came but now that I'm starting to think about winter I've noticed their not functioning well enough so come colder weather and the mild warm temp their producing will be of little help.

Anyone have any issues like this before? power light comes on and they seem to work just as if stuck on low setting.

Their wired to my head light switch.

What make are they? Oxford?

Yeah Oxford full grips (not those wrap around things).

Assuming the controller isn't faulty, check all the connections for corrosion that maybe causing some volt drop.
