Didn't he owe wages to some rider who kidnapped the bike until it was paid.

As well as harassing his ex wife, threatening her and her family. Allegedly.

Ellison vindicated by Byrne feedback | MotoGP News | Jun 2012 | Crash.Net

    OK.

So Bird has a rider , who tells him how the bike is behaving, what he needs and what will help push the project forward. He doesn't beleive him and gets another rider in who says the same thing.

I suppose you can look at this 2 ways .
He's a twat and thinks he knows more than the rider and the problem is said rider
He want the project to go forward so drafts in help .

Seems like Ellison didn't like the way it happened, as in no sit down and " why dont we see what Shane thinks , it could help us " discussion

    Excellent

Pleased for Ellison as i really didnt like the way it was done on live commentary for the BSB at Oulton by Birdy ........... Nice to see Shakey agreed on the problems after such a public slating by the boss

His management style is well known in the paddock and beyond, like him or loathe him, no one has to ride in his teams.

He's put his money where his mouth is and a large amount of it at that, without him there'd be less bikes on the grids, as a motorcycle racing fan I'm glad he does.
