......so I keep having to hit the refresh button to update pages and threads(using internet explorer in case their is anything else), constantly, and it's starting to bug me, is this normal or is something not quite right? Don't remember it happening b4 the weekend changeover. Any suggestions? ta.

You've always had to refresh a page to see new threads/posts, on every forum I've used. It's normal, unless I've just missed what you mean completley .

Previously if I logged on and then pressed refresh, everthing did so, now it seems even after doing that each thread still needs to be done individually.

    I don't get you.

Is it hanging / slow when you hit refresh so need to press it again?

The forum software has nothing to do with your web browsers refresh button which is why i don't get your problem, can you explain more.

Now I think I get what you mean.

When you click the button it doesn't refresh. That button uses javascript to take you back to the page you just come from.... exactly like pressing back in your browser which is why the page doesn't update.

You'll have to notify WiseBudda if you want it to take you to the forum main page.

See below, Lynw is on the right track, I think, however, I just came back to the home page from general and noticed lyn had replied to this and was the last to do so, yet when I opened the thread the last reply was my own? So even though the homepage was showing someone had replied since I last posted, when I opened it didn't show and therefore I had to refresh, does that make any sense?

I was figuring its to do with the old page cached and not checking to the server so was going to check my IE options.
same here and this certanly refreshes the page but then each individual thread has to be updated once I've opened one up; I'm not suggesting their is anything wrong with the site, more likely something at my end, but have not experienced this b4 and wouldn't know where to start ot fix it
