Don't forget to disguise your handwriting, use a new piece of paper that you haven't touched yet, or if you type it, use a neighbour's printer so the ink cannot be matched to yours, don't lick the envelope or the stamp, as you'll leave DNA behind. Don't leave fingerprints anywhere!

Then put your tinfoil hat on and wait for the repercussions.

Or just send an email from a new account.

They were first and they were right.

In reality, a company won't be able to find out if you've bounced an email around the planet, only an international police effort could and that could potentially take years. But they could tell from your ISP that you were visiting anonymous email server sites around the time the email was sent, so you could get done on probability.

Best bet really is to send an email from a new account on a PC which has no connection to yourself in an internet cafe with a false name. Send a letter and you risk handwriting analysis and whatever that region thing is they stamp the envelope with.

Which tbh, I think is pretty fair. I've seen some totally unfounded, petty and unconstituted grievances in my time.

Thought I was going OTT with my post. cutting out letters from the newspapers? Make sure you use several

Actually the letter seems like the simplest idea, because they probably employ IT guys but not handwriting recognition people.

Would you be willing to bet your job and your future prospects on that? If letters were truely anonymous there wouldn't be a science built up around handwriting. We're engineered to recognise patterns, anyone who sees your writing often enough could likely recognise it, or at least compare it to something you've signed with some degree of accuracy.

    Doh...

Have you heard of a device called a printer? Yeah OK I realise the police etc can identify inks and papers / fingerprints etc, but...

even with onion routing, provate proxies (Tor etc) I'd go to a net cafe or find an open box you could use as a remailer

best would be to access the work email server remotely and send whoever a mail from their own account

    Thumbs up Re: untraceable email

Wait for a colleague to go to lunch forgetting to lock his computer and use his email account.

Why use pen and paper, just type what ever it into notepad at work, print it off and leave it in bosses in tray

The company's probably already introduced software to monitor what the employees are typing. And, of course, he'd have to carry the piece of paper with gloves to avoid leaving fingerprints, which might look suspicious at the office.

Don't you know anything about whistleblowing?

Being controlled by the FSA means we have stuff to monitor printouts but guess what application isn't monitored
