    Default Google Glasses

I love my tech and I love my computers, this is new from Google.

This just blows my mind and I'll be getting one.

Basically it's a pair of glasses with a CPU in it that is connected to the internet and has voice activation, allowing you to search and communicate visually with just the glasses. The coolest part however is the fact it's all Augmented Reality, meaning it will display stuff in focus to what appears to be in front of you like maps to destinations, calender, notes, camera chat etc. I expect that it will be fully integrated with Android phones and other Google products.

I'm really looking forward to this. If you've played the Augmented Reality stuff on the 3DS, imagine that x100. Although this isn't new and the military have had it for a while, it's the first type to go on the market as a full package. If you're having trouble imagining it, it's like what The Terminator had, minus the coding and red and talk of terminating people.

Imagine having the glasses on under your helmet with a route directly in front of you to follow while on your bike. That's what this should be able to do. Industry experts believe it may well be out to buy this year and are thinking £200 - £600.

    The future is here.

A step to far for me. When I'm away from the PC I want to be just that. I'd feel like The Terminator with all that info popping up in front of me!

Imagine glancing at the wrong thing and getting a full screen advert pop up obscuring your vision.

    No, thanks.

    I don't agree with you.

    1) You've never used it
    2) Google products normally work well out of the box, or are fixed quickly after release.
    3) See point 1

Just want to add - Augmented Reality has been around for ages, with the military using it for operations on a wide scale. If it wouldn't work it wouldn't be used. This technology isn't new so I'm quite confident that it will work well.

If it does end up being an add heavy revenue stream for Google then it would get irritating but I think it's going to be more of an extension of your phone.

Rather than the lame ukulele at the end, it would have been much cooler if he'd shared his view and then leaped off the building without telling her he was wearing a parachute.

What, like Wave and + and....umm my Android tab that crashes regularly? My arse. You'll be walking down the street, then it will suddenly stop working because Google will get bored with it and move on to something people want and can use.

Maps is the only consistently good stable product I've used.
