I've wanted a stonkin' games machine for some years, and finally I've decided to treat myself to an Alienware Aurora, with a few upgrades from the standard model added.

Spec includes :-
Operating System : Windows 7 SP1 Professional (64 BIT)
Processor : Intel Core i7-3820 (Four Core, 10MB Cache) 3.60GHz
Memory : 16384MB (4x4GB) 1600MHz DDR3 Quad Channel
Hard Drive : 256GB SSD + 1TB SATA 6Gb/s (7200RPM) 32MB Cache
Optical Drive : 8X Blu-Ray RW (Blu-Ray, DVD, CD read & write)
Graphics : 4GB GDDR5 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 690
Sound : Integrated HDA 7.1 Dolby Digital capability
Wireless: 802.11n WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1 EDR USB Combo Adapter (ROW)
Having Win 7 Pro, will hopefully allow me to play those games that ran flawlessly on XP, but give freeze up problems on Win 7 Home, as Win 7 Pro has 'XP mode' built in, (so I've been told).
The GeForce GTX 690 has had rave reviews, and will be the first time I've had such a high spec card.
So what say the TRC computer geeks? A good gaming / video machine?
