Default Uploading pics from an iPhone or iPad (or other mobile devices)

While I think I know how the way do this I still cant actually manage it as pretty much all of the pics are over the size limit for the uploader to handle.

Is there a simple way to resize them either on the device or a function on the site to do so. I know I could upload them to a host site etc. but this is a faff and I may as well not bother until I get home and do it on a desktop or other machine by which time I sometimes dont bother.

I use dropbox without any resizing... all my pictures just appear on there with no intervention, other than moving to a 'proper' unlimited tarif

nb android devices but assume i devices would be the same.

I use either dropbox (can't remember if I am logged in all of the time atm) or picasa.

Picasa has become a bit of a pain online as I cannot seem to find the link to image box which used to be there.

Edit - Camera upload on dropbox was switched off for some reason??

We do, but Dropbox is better as I can upload/download to the PC too. The iPad synchs new photos to Dropbox every time I open the Dropbox app.

I dont use iCloud, not a great fan of 'cloud' type things, in any case that still doesn't give me easy linked access to any image outwith my own devices.
I already use photobucket and Flickr and could use dropbox but that wasn't what I was after here, I was just looking for a more immediate way of uploading images and the only thing stopping this is the size of the image at the moment.

Looks like it may not be possible, back to faffing around with photohosting sites then.

Not sure exactly what you're trying to do, but if you email any photo it'll ask you if you want to resize down and to what size.

Alternatively, googling 'ipad resize image' will list all the free apps that'll do this on the device. Just search within the app store on the device to remove even this laborious stage

Initially I was looking for a way to directly upload a picture from an iPhone to a site such as this one, cutting out the resize or hosting option and making it a bit easier and more spontaneous to do but it's looking like that isn't really possible.

No matter, I'll have a look for the resize apps in a bit.

I can't see how that would be possible as the uploading is done by the site. Would have to be an option on TRC, nothing to do with the phone as such. You'd have to resize first within an app and then upload that.
