+1 on front is for more top end, which i think will results in more mpg but that was not my goal. I was thinking +1 on the -3 rear which will make motorway cruising perfect (according to other xj6 owners) however it does have a negative effect on the acceleration and is not ideal for filtering, traffic and town as i would have to spend more time in first gear. They say the +1 will make the bike feel more smooth overall aswell. The speedo sensor is on the crank shaft so +1 will make the reading almost bang on accurate. If i dont like it i will just go back to the original.
And you can have Tsubaki tool for £30: http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorc...-riveting-vice
Don't use the tool for chain breaking.
Higher gearing. On a nekkid! Kids of today.
I knocked one off the front and put 4 teeth on the back of my Fireblade and it was fuckin bonkers low gearing is where it's at. I'd stick a couple of teeth on the rear of the 690 if I thought it'd fit but doubt it with the standard 2000 mile old chain and too new to wanna fork out for a new chain.
