Sorry, I can't help.
Am considering getting a Humax HDR1000S, thye seem to be the only company selling Freesat.
Mine freezes when you use the TV guide - only very occasionally. But with me away during the week , it could be enough to cause divorce when I am not here ...
Now, the internet says up date the firmware using a USB stick to down load the latest version - mine is running on xxxxxxx17 and it needs to be xxxxxx20
I have followed the instructions on the Humax page to the letter - but the unit will not go into update mode or recognise the USB stick. And I have tried three!
A GUI critics dream topic. For example, in normal use + on the prog button to go up to a numerically higher channel, in guide mode use + on the same button to go to a higher "page" i.e. backwards through the channels.
On my 42" set the menu take up a huge amount of space but in such large text, the prog info still overflows and there's no way to reveal it. There is no list for the days program on any given channel and the preview is a postage stamp size insert .
I hate it though it is technically a decent unit. I only hope updates and hacks can make it a more pleasant device. NB I still haven't been able to get it to use my network (BT homhub issues) and it is yet to recognise any type of video on a USB stick.
Any chance the pen stick has to be a certain format like FAT32?
Pretty sure I updated my mums Humax over the air, Ill have a look at it when I go round there later. I do remember it was absolutely shit out of the box, set to a low resolution and on some bizarre screen zoom mode, coupled with the Windows 98 style menu's I wasn't impressed.
