I've got some Cambridge Audio 5.1 speakers, they're flipping brilliant. No idea about the streamers tho, I'm no audiophile so I just stream music to my AV amp.

If you get asked about bi-amping, don't punch your interlocutor in the face.

Ta for the replies.... I am interested in how people get on with them on a day to day basis, as opposed to the magazine 30 minute tests

    I haven't bi-wired in years. I think Bi-Amping has benefit, but not bi-wiring

    Interesting article here

I had a look at your link but, not being a technical type, I couldn't understand what they were talking about.

My hifi speakers are bi-wired but only because, when I bought the system 10 years ago, it was just regarded as the thing to do at he price point I was at.

Haven't got a clue if it would sound the same without bi-wiring and cba to find out as I'm happy with the way it sounds now

Any will do the job fine - the music will likely be compressed so it will be a poor quality sound anyway.

Why? Never understand why people always assume everyone has poor files

Was looking at buying very similar setup based around the stream Magic but read lots of compatibility issues. In the end I've just ordered a Naim Unitilite. All in one system from a well respected brand for only a tiny bit more than I was going to spend on separates. Also a really good app for controlling the Naim via Ipad and an android app is in development.

When I went for a demo I was blown away by the sound quality.

That's why I used the word likely. It's a fairly safe bet though.

Slenver - I use lossless - but I don't this that the sound is that great. But at my age ( and the time I want to invest) I accept it is what it is ... all are at around the 1000 bps(?) - CDs still sound better - and then streamed over apple TV / Airport express. Maybe that is the limting factor
What really gets on my tits is the different sound levels between tracks
And the amount of drop outs I get if streaming via Apple TV ..
