NOt got any bits to go on it though so it'll remain in the box for me to take out and look at for a while yet!

I was tempted to strip my winter bike and build it up just to try it out but i'm going to resist and build it properly with SRAM Red bits.

Not a bargain but a fair price imo for a year old frame thats done about a dozen TT's and is the right size along with the fork steerer totally uncut allowing me to set it up high at the front initially then dropping it down with time.

    nice!!

that's one serious bit of kit, and a riding position that I'd never ever be able to fold myself up into

Very nice. Going to get some Zipp hoops? I might have to pull out of my IM, but still bought a new canyon roadbike.

Pull out again? did you do the same last year? Injury or personal/work related?

And thats a no on the Zipp hoops. GOing to take me long enough to get the Sram bits so it'll be a carbon wheel cover for a shallow rear wheel I already have and possibly something nice for the front? Maybe a HED 3 spoke if I can blag enough funds past the missus! lol

Tafflade, The riding position will be alot higher than that while I have a belly to get in the way but depending on fit I may get it down that low one day to try and get the elusive 'flat back'

No, different issue. Heart related - it's too big and kicking off every now and again. The irony is it's something pro cyclists usually get. I'm still waiting for that call from Sky. I think they must have lost my number. It should be a relatively easy fix (involves floating wires up to the old ticker and zapping the offending conduction pathway). If I get it sorted, it'll be a green light, but it'll be aiming to finish rather than target time. I'm trying to keep the HR down when I train to stop triggering palpitations.

On the bike front - sounds like a good idea. I promised myself a TT bike if I cracked below 2:20 for olympic. My bike fitter has a customer that upgrades his bike every year, but makes sure it's blue. His wife thinks he's had the same bike for 5 years.

Thats not good on the dodgy ticker but pleased it's fixable.

If i'm honest I wasnt planning on buying a Tt bike this way, I was going to save up enough to buy the bike complete or jump in with a 0% APR deal from TriUK on a Cervelo P3 but it came up at the right price in the right condition so I jumped for it.

Agreed and mine will have Blue decals as you can chose your colour. My tri club has blue kit so along with the blue saddle Black and hints of Blue should look quite nice

Crikey, that's a seriously nice looking bit of kit. I'd have that hung on the wall in the meantime.

Reminds me of the SR71 Blackbird.
