    I've managed to do without the E baseline in it but as you say, its difficult to seperate the two. I used to be able to do it easily on a piano so I'll keep plugging away, I just need to get used to using fingers / pick instead of thumb for other simple picking.
    The Green River riff - CCR is another variation on that theme,if you wanted a different tune to learn,but along similar lines.
