Mate wanted some Barley twists for a log holder for his woodburner but had run out of gas to heat with as so we made them cold. 10mm sq bar in the vice with a homemade stand with a nut tacked on the end to keep the bar relativly straight. One oversized tap holder and a bit of grunt and we got some nice barley twists knocked up sharpish. You need to wear protective glasses as the metal flakes off as you twist. Bar bent a little but a little tweaking in the vice straightened it back out nicely.
