Think its the same as Jude's father has. Not the best for hard materials like stainless but fine for me with most things I need to drill.

Their cobalt steel drills are recommended for stainless. They don't do them in big boxes on special offer, mores the pity.

Why do you need so many of each? I'm probably bit naive but that infers that you expect to go through a lot. Why wouldn't you just buy ones that are better quality? Or are they consumables with wot you use them for?

I don't get through that many but, for me certainly due to location, it's easier to have a huge box of the things for when I do need one. There's a hardware store up here but he charges a sliver too much for convenience and might not have the individual size you need, only B&D boxed sets.

When I did the camper van I wish I had bought 20 1mm, 1.5mm, 2mm, 5mm and 6mm drill bits all in one go rather than piece meal like I did since these critters have an amazing ability to hide. I broke a few of the smaller ones but when the job was complete I appear to have loads of them now.

I'm not falling for that, postage will inevitably be 20% of the item price, so you get a few more bits to make it worthwhile paying £7 for postage and before you know it you're looking at a new horizontal bandsaw and a selection of Japanese woodsaws on your doorstep.

Freepost over £45 and I keep a list of things I need/want but am not in a hurry for so as to bulk out an order.

I've very few unwanted and unused tools and most of those have either been bought in error or to try to see whether I want a better one.

The 25mm diameter centre drill is in the former category. It'll go back on Ebay soon unless some one sees this and wants it.

Added: Also Compare P&P to the hassle and cost of driving somewhere just to get a drill bit at short notice. Mine would be a 20mile round trip.
