Or did I imagine it?
I am looking to get a few bits for a bracket assembly, the guys I use at work won't be interested in a small job. These will all be <100mm in the largest dimension and from 2-3mm plate....can anyone help?
If you get stuck and can get a CNC file done for the part(s) I have a mate who could probably put it through his work (multi million pound engineering concern, he owns it!) as a favour for me. Beer tokens taken.......
Are there no alternatives to laser?
There are a million alternatives.
However this is for a personal project so I cannot justify using our own machine shop which is currently booked up. I know laser cutting is gonna be the easiest and cheapest for what I need. I would also rather spend money with a random TRCer than a random firm!
For anyone interested, I am making a desk holder for a Google Tablet. I got the tablet free with my new phone and I am primarily using it as a digital picture frame. Docks tend to hold things portrait which is no good for this...I also quite like the idea of a spindly stainless contraption rather than a big lump of moulded plastic.
"Nope, I don't have one" or "Nope, you didn't imagine it"?
Or even, "Nope, f*ck off you twat"?
It was a nope to the question you asked
You might want to look for someone with a cnc plasma...
