New bike, get some!!

I've just purchased a bike i've wanted for years. I bought it over the phone and its getting delivered on wednesday.

I won't, i'm planning on riding it year round and will be giving it big licks.

Hope it proves to be a good one - riding beautiful if occasionally flawed bikes with character makes for some great trips!

I've ridden one at Brands, Jerez and also Silverstone... they're a tough bike to get the most out of. Harsh suspension, very stiff and a remarkably high seat for the actual size of the bike, added to a long bar reach. Makes them quite a beast to tame...

It makes a certain amount of sense on the track, i also spent an hour on one around the Spa region while the owner was being checked out in hospital, i took it for a spin... Didn't get over 6000rpm... it made very very little sense as a road bike. I didn't get 'it' at all.

Silly quick.... exceptionally pretty. Part of me would buy one tomorrow.... The other part of me would batter me with a hammer if i did.
