    My mate just bought a 1989 cbr 1000f-j for 300 quid..looks to be in good nick just a tad mucky will see if i can get picks once mucks off

    Managed to get a brand new seat for £20, and a practically new endcan for £15. Rear shock needs replacing although stillgood enough for a another couple of months

    Meet Shonkduro. A 1978 XL250S bought for £400, tastefully restored with 2 cans of Halfords toolbox red and a back tyre that wasn't flat, used to bring me to 2nd place in TBEC's vintage enduro class last year. It only needed 4 engine rebuilds along the way, well it wouldn't be a shonker otherwise

    Has more recently acquired a large dent at the back of the tank (yes it was the way you think )

    like every project of mine, another one took over from it. i think it was the front landscaping, then before i knew it... it was spring and i took the ducati out of hibernation.

    Daft question guys but how much do these 400s cost? as will be looking for a runabout bike once i pass test..I have my vn800 for when i do long trips...lol
