What others have said about the place... Visitors feedback on ridersrest biker friendly b&B in France

Loads of pictures of the region can be viewed on our personal site It's about the ride!

We have everything here, Fntastic twisties, good quality tarmac and empty roads, Scenic destinations, history, and a good place to stay with all the amenities on hand. We are also no more than 50 miles away from just about every marque of dealership in the region.

Unfortunately I shall be otherwise engaged for six months over this, but may well be up for doing it the following summer, if you can put up with a pongo.

What's the weather like down your way in late October mind?

I give you it's a good price indeed for 6 nights, and the pics are stunning. Out of interest, how many miles from the usual ports are you (Caen/Cherbourg/Le Havre)?

    Le-Havre - 378 miles
    Caen - 324 miles
    St Malo - 342 miles
    Calais - 470 miles

We usually do the overnight ferry Portsmouth to Le-Havre and on average arrive here for 16:00 with a couple of stops.

One to bear in mind but I can't commit. I've toured a bit in France (a good few years ago) and love the place.

I remember camping in a site below Rocamadour in a 2-man tent watching the son et lumiere in the citadel above sharing bread, cheese and wine with the girlfriend and later sharing warmth as a huge lightning storm and torrential rain buffeted the area. There's a lot more tourists there now, the campsite's gone and it's more commercialised, but still fantastic.

Just a thought, you may like to mention the trail riding firm that's just up the road from you, in case some people fancy breaking up their tour with a bit of that

I think we are now heading up from Prayssac (between Toulouse and Limoge) and then doing around 350 miles up to somewhere near Paris, my mate who's doing the route has not issued latest version.
My sister is over near Beaune and a mates dad live in Prayssac. We're spending more time travelling south than north.

thats a sound plan 350 miles is easily done using the Paege but if you want to do some good roads head off the A20 at J45 and head for Seilhac and pick up the D940 which will take you up past Orleans - where it crosses the A77 it changes to the N7 which will take you south of Paris. Either way have an excellent trip.
