Well I'm supposed to be going out for a meal with work that night but given I'll be in central London all week although using the train *shudder* not sure I can be arsed with racing home to jump on the bike and get out to the restaurant after the train ride home.

We have a date - Friday 16th December, but the location is still undecided. Should have done it a week or two earlier really as from around this time, peeps get booked up. I think the OP needs to make a decision on where we are going to go fairly sharpish.

How to find the The Banker pub
Turn left out of Cannon Street Station then left again. Walk straight down to the river (alongside the station, crossing Upper Thames Street) and you should see it at the end.

Pros - plenty of seating in a spacious setting, lots of terraced outdoor space for those of you who still puff, food available for those who need fuel, card machines for those who don't carry cash, close to dual carriageway for those who need to hail a hackney cab, bike bays close by for those on two wheels, nice bogs* for those who need relief

Cons - none to list
