Default Shaft Drive Bike (Dullville, NVT, etc)

My nephew is looking for a cheap(ish) bike to commute to and from University, but is a mechanical numpty and althjough he checks the oil, he never checks, nor lubes, the chain.

So looking to get him something with shaft drive, such as a Dulville, GT550 or an NVT. As he is young an XJ900 is too expensive to insure for him.

    Anyone have anything?

    Thanks

Worth considering some of these R and K series cheap parts reliable and classic insurance. Easy to maintain as well.

Thanks for those-found an NVT on london bikers-cheap, great runner, cosmetically challenged-something that will be good for a few months at least in his hands! The insurance quotes my nephew was getting (or not getting) for a 750/1000 BMW's were ridiculous!

It seems if you are under 25 you have trouble insuring a classic. Madness.
