Baby Angel's School Prep

More for me than anyone else...ramblings about getting Claudia ready for her starting school in September...the little one will have only just turned four which seems terribly young...but I'm so proud.

  1. Baby Angel's Fifth Birthday in EuroDisney...part two

Ok so after lunch we went on the Haunted Mansion before heading to the Big Thunder Mountain roller coaster. We go on a few more rides before we decide to head back to our hotel (The Cheyenne Hotel) for a rest, as it's going to be a long night.

After resting up we head back into Disneyland for dinner...a quick stop for her to get a new princess dress (a different Aurora one than she has at home)...Disneyland looks stunning lit up at night

We go to our reservation ...

  2. Baby Angel's Fifth Birthday in EuroDisney...part one

Will fill in other details of the trip in another blog, but wanted to get down her actual birthday whilst it was fresh in my mind.

The day started by her (grumpily - due to late night) being woken, I was greeted with "I'm still asleep" but woke with a smile as I started singing Happy Birthday.

    • Bake princess birthday cake
    • Decorate princess birthday cake
    • No doubt re-decorate princess birthday cake as I'm not happy with first attempt

Well I can hardly believe it, tomorrow (Friday 10th July 2009) is Baby Angel's last day at school, end of Reception year and the beginning of her first summer holidays...where did the year go?

Her school work has all come through, I love to look through it all.

So now at the end of her first year at school, she's made lots of friends, won her main race at sports day, learnt to read and write, developed her social skills amongst other children, gained even more confidence, ...
  5. Children and the subject of death

Baby Angel, at the age of four, has been affected by death twice already with my Paternal Grandfather and Maternal (Step) Nana, having been very close to the former and been to the spreading of his ashes (she was only two), she came to my Nana's funeral last year.

She has been told, and understands, that they have gone to live with the angels and thanks to some wind chimes being near where my Grandfather was scattered (with his wife and one of his sons), my parents said to her that ...
