  2. coastbusters: chapter 8 Hull to Harefield 11h 387.8miles

Day 8. Day 8! The last day! This trip had been so long in the planning I could hardly believe it was almost over. I’d be spending tonight in my own bed. I’d see my wife and kids again today. I know it’s only a week but because of the long days and the huge amounts of time spent with only myself for company I was really missing them. Really cold. I couldn’t get back to sleep but was knackered: what an irritating combination! I think the relentlessness of ...

    ....

When we arrived at Dunnet Head I said to ink ink that I thought these old classic bikes were supposed to be slow. He quipped that there’s nothing slow about them: it’s just the old farts who tend to ride them who are slow! Clearly he was no old fart.

Dunnet Head- the most northerly point on the mainland. Coastbusted!
