While looking for a new hobby I encountered something that I have never heard of before, Geocaching. So this blog will cover the trials and tribulations of becoming a Geocacher

  1. First Find!

    In a previous blog I mentioned that there was a cache hidden near my home, after the failed attempt early today I was determined to find this one, even in the dark.

    And yes the eagle has landed! A quick dog walk to the location, a 5 minute torch lit hunt around and hey presto I found it. It was like being 10 years old again

  2. Hunting for my first Geocache

    In my Geocaching Genesis blog I mentioned that there was a cache within a few hundred metres of my house. As it is so close to hime this seems like the perfect and most obvious first cache hunt. However the location is unlit and I am at work during daylight hours, so trying to find the cache in the dark will probably result in a fruitless search.

    I recently came to the conclusion that I seem to do the same thing day in day out. Wake up, travel to work, work, go home, mess around on the internet, watch some TV, walk the dog, play with the kids.
