But it's not all about the car, it's about reflexes, skill and bottle.
But a drag strip race won't allow me to have you on the brakes

Might be up for this... need to check the diary... and decide what to bring...

I've done it before... it's bloody hard getting a powerful car off the line quickly!

    *edit*

Might bring the old girl to the party...

She is a bitch to get off the line though...

You got to bring that car, it sounds awesome. How many bhp is it again?

I'm going to aid my traction by putting a gazebo and 24 cans in the boot.

It's running around 260-270bhp with 280lbft ... although after the recent work it needs another mapping session on the dyno. as it's spiking on boost so limited to 1.3 bar... if I do bring it will make sure that's sorted - will give me a chance to get the launch control setup as well.

It's not really setup for drag work mind... the first three gears are comical on boost

(I will be the one zig-zagging up the strip trying to keep the bitch straight! )

Nice one Pony, I've never been up a drag strip, and it is always good to meet people off here (with perhaps one exception ), so I'll plan to trundle up on a bike I think, or maybe even bring a couple , with the added bonus that if I do I could then enter the van in the interior-off too (if defo wouldn't win on the strip, even against Weeksy's new pimpmobile )

Mine has a disappointing 236bhp, an auto box and weighs about two tonnes but I'll be relying on driver skill to put myself ahead of the little coupes and tuned up hot hatches.

    Unless I do get it remapped, then it'll be 307bhp / 449ftlb.

Is there an ecofriendly alternative fuels category?

Or am I going to win in a Guy Martin style?

I might not remap and beat you all with fewer horsepower, like that time Sean Connery beat someone up with just his thumb.

Or I might get the remap done and let you feel the force of 450 odd ftlbs.
