couchcommando I just hate changing wheels in a rush so 2 bikes makes a lot of sense!

    I'm too poor for a 2nd bike.

I've sourced a spare set of wheels, I'm sure I can get my pit crew down to 30 second wheel swaps

A good move is that using the wet tyres. What always put me off about the class a few years back was using the same tyres for dry and wet.

Well it's a week until the first meeting of the year at Brands on the Indy circuit.

Tyres are all fitted, tickets have arrived, I've even tried on my leathers to make sure they still fit (I've put on almost a stone since the last time I rode it).

One thing was worrying me. I'd had the engine out the bike to replace the rear pot base gasket, but had I put it all back together right?

With no times/funds to do a test day or track day I decided to let the local dyno operator run it up to speed and see if it pissed hot oil up his leg...

Sounded sweet, made about the right power and the fuelling looks spot on... anyone got any hints on losing a stone in a week?

I'm doing DesmoDue too this year. This will be my first time racing. I've decided to start a blog about it so people can laugh at all my crashes and how slow I am. I wont be at Brands tho, have to get my ACU license at East Fortune that weekend. but if anyone wants to see the blog its mackintoshracing.com

    I'm worried about the wets.

I won't have chance to run them in until it actually rains... does the brake cleaner and a bit of emery actually work for cleaning the release agent off them?

do they even use release agent anymore?

scuffing them should be alright, or take it for a spin around the block?
