A few years back my brother started making and selling artisan beef jerky. Demand for it grew to the point he gave up work as a web designer to concentrate full time on it. He's now at the stage where he needs to expand in order to cope with the increased demand so he's looking at crowd funding to finance the expansion of the business.

He's 96% there with 4 days to go, so if anyone is interested in investing please see his crowd cube page - https://www.crowdcube.com/investment/billy-franks-20969

    Cheers.

Billy Franks. Is that rhyming slang? Or should it be answered "yes, yes he does"

Horses for courses. Or horses for dried meat snacks if you prefer. I like both.

Artisans are rarer, so the price per jerk is higher. HTH

artisan - (of food or drink) made in a traditional or non-mechanized way using high-quality ingredients.

99% of the stuff you see in UK supermarkets is imported beef and mechanically formed.

Where's the price per packet compared to supermarket/eatery jerky? Eat do a good one (English beef) but it is a bit lumpy (price-wise, not the beef).

Edit: Sorry, missed the website link. For sensible parenting reasons, I will not be buying my kid the 'Holy Fuck' jerky, even when the shop is back open!

    Ever had biltong?

I'm well into that now since my SA mate introduced me to the SA shop in the indoor market in town.

I take it your mates stuff is similar?

I'm too poor to invest, but please (I'm serious) let me know the percentage share price increase in 6 months or a year's time, so I know what I missed out on .
