    Default Nitromors - WTF?

In the good old days I'd get a bit of bike, give it a slaver out of the green tin, and the paint would magically and malodourously fall off. Fast forward to today, when I'd swear there was more paint on my battery tray after I'd covered it in the latest gloop than before I started. I might as well have pissed on it instead. A quick recourse to google shows that since they removed the Dichloromethane it is pants.

As I am very lazy I'd rather not have to attack bits with a flapper disc, so does anyone have any recommendations for a decent paint stripper? Starchem seems to have a good rep, but I'd rather have a rec from here before I drop 30 on a big can of useless.

Guzzi rebuild goes on apace, the frame and swing arm are off at the powder coaters, and the carbs are being ultrasoniced. I'm trying to find someone in East sussex to vapour blast the engine next. Happy days!

    After nitromors -

Nitromors has become enviromentally friendly or we are not allowed decent chemicals any more.

Go to France and go to any hypermarket and go to the bit selling ammonia (i have 15% bottles that cost 1.56 euro a litre bottle) and hydrochloric acid there you will see paint stripper that works.

Ebay has loads of heavy duty paint stripper , cheap delivered to your door.

I used this on my lathe , a bit thick but works well, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PAINT-STRI...item3d25af5137

    StrippedBits.jpg

Used the Industrial stuff from Ebay on the bits today, and it all stripped as well as old Nitromors. Just got to wire wheel the rust off, then a few coats of smoothrite satin to finish. The frame, rails, stand and swing arm are back from the powdwer coaters, all looking good. Spent a bloody fortune on stainless nuts and bolts for the frame and calipers, now losing the will to live
