The bottom order is a bit depressing. Hopefully they make some progress!

Vinales is nailing it. Nice to see some movement from the bottom rungs by Smith.

I'd expect nothing less after last years performances from Vinales to be fair.

The Brits though... Sheesh... struggling mostly.. OK, so it's only 1.5s for Smith, but as we know, 1.5s is the difference between being in the race and not. Sure, it's possible KTM can make up some of that... but then you've got Lowes and Redding... struggling even more so.

Crutchlow shown plenty of pace on all 3 days though that's for sure. 5th, 3rd, 5th.... that's pretty damn good.

Bradders improved by about 1.7s from day 2. Obviously found something in the locker.Wonder what else is in there

And every rider went faster than Marquez's pole time from last years race.

It does look like KTM are getting on the case rather promptly. Just remember that Suzuki took a little while to get to steam pressure. It is all happening and that Vinales fellow is going to be fun to watch.

Qatar Test next. Lets see what Lorenzo does there.

This will be KTMs "bed-in" year. Word from the team is that they have Pol and Bradders trying out completely different programmes and won't be smashing the two together until they get to Losail.

The first couple of days at Qatar will be the most interesting - same as last year. Repsol Honda were way off the pace during Thursday practice but a 3am finish on the Friday morning brought them right back up to speed - but, by their own admission, that was the first time they'd put Dani's, Marc's and Cal's feedback all into a similar set up.

It will also be interesting to see the dynamic in the Yamaha garage. Vinales has dominated all three official practices this winter.

Can't wait. We fly out in four weeks. Race in 5 weeks (yesterday).
