We are going to Lake Como in July driving down in the car, went via the Timmelsjoch Pass a couple of years ago. In the meantime they have opened a motorcycle museum near the top at the toll booths (they were just building it when we were there previously) www.obergurgl.com/motorcycle-museum Think I'll call in while we're passing. Was going to go to the Guzzi Museum but it shuts for the summer the day before we arrive.

Don't know if the place is right but the stellplatze is. Owned by the vineyard next it. Cheap. Small restaurant. And you can stock up of some serious wine across the road. Not known for their reds but Franz's Dornfelder is something very special.

    I don't know those two.

I do know that there is one right at the Deutches Eck but never used it.

A big favourite of ours is just down the Rhein at Sankt Goar. Lovely town an easy walk and right on the Rhein so lots of activity. Prettiest part of the Rhein.

Do you remember or know if this is the main car park and large enough for vans?

Close but I think this is where we stayed, in the picture is the toilet/show facilities. There's a barrier system to exit, need Euros or Swiss franks but it will not accept a mix.

    Ended up in this site

    https://www.gaienhofen.de/Media/Camp...pingplatz-Horn

Never got to the falls. Leaving Lake Como i went north to take in a small pass and when i got near the top major roadworks were going on and the bloody detour took us over another pass. Lost to much time that day by the time i reached the site and the next morning started shitty and overcast so just headed up to the Mosel for a few days. Old Convoy did me proud.
