Yes I am a game of thrones geek

It is getting close to the end of the riding year, well good weather at least before the snow and other terrible riding conditions.
I want to try and get a ride out organised before the bike goes away for the winter months. Anyone that will be interested in a cross country ride out? Thinking midlands area to norfolk coastal run. Start near the M1 somewhere ride down to the A14 follow it down a nice 42 mile straight to open up a bit, then coast run from Gt yaremouth round the coast cromer etc then back via the A47 sort of route. I know norfolk very well, the routes and some sweet places to ride.

    What say you?

Aye, not be long before I have to put the clear visor on my helmet, which is a right ballache on my Tour-X4. Might just use the car for 6 months instead.

Why 'survive'.... As KFB, just jump in the car, heating on, coffee in hand, mobile on hands free to chat to mates, enjoy.

I've done my time commuting by bike, come rain, shine or snow.... for 7 years before I passed my car test.

I looked out the window this morning, thought "this looks shit" and came to work in the car

But then if you factor in the time it takes to get all my kit on/off, my commute is actually quicker in the car.

Survival is the name of the game on British roads. Junctions where a car is waiting too enter a main carriage-way in cold moist weather is highly likely too be filled with impatient occupants. Knowing how a front or rear wheel slides out & misbehaves are imho crucial pieces of learned knowledge. Any half-wit can ride in fair weather it's avoiding those people with steamed up car windows you must focus on.

I've been known to join the odd rideout (mostly very sedate pipe-n-slippers folk; Adam) however, are you talking knobbly tires & green laning or standard roads? Cross country has thrown me & staying walking in a straight line can be tedious at the mo'

How about link up at the A5-super sausage cafe or where were you thinking of starting? NN12 7QD
