He tips in to Druids a bit earlier than I do, but he must be doing it right because he's 8 seconds a lap faster than I was. I might try his line in March

I've seen you ride. You'd need to be doing some lines before you got on the Bike if you thought that you could do his. It's his entry into the faster corners that impress me.
I'm hoping that he puts up a video of him at Snetterton.

I've been constantly a couple of seconds a lap quicker at each circuit this year

But a 52.9 is way beyond me. Our class record is 56.7.... what power/weight is a ypm TZR?

    54 105kg
The "good guys" are doing 54s laps there. His Bike is nowhere near the fastest and, whilst quite a few are spending 's on modifying the front end,his is as good as standard.

My DD is 58bhp (or was two years ago when it was dyno'ed), this year at Oulton it weighed in at 177kg!!! (class limit is 150kg, but no one is close, lightest was circa 160ish).

Yeah, I could do with losing a stone at least... but I like crisps and rum too much and racing is just a bit of fun

To be fair, a TZR250 isn't that far removed from a TZ.
I don't know the rules for YPM but you can get over 60bhp out of a TZR250 with a lot of work, 34mm flatslides and a good set of expansion chambers.

That explains the 54bhp, though I think a standard TZR is somewherd between 40 and 45.
The only bike I've ever made a profit on was my TZR, bought for 550 sold for 595
