Would it not have been worth a new sprocket for that new chain? It looks like a sprocket with a history

Sprocket is indeed old, and filthy. It rained so I rushed it. I will clean it. Its not worn at all though, I only changed the chain because all the O rings fell out. Also I have a +2 rear sprocket that will go on at some point, but I'm doing the basics first.

I got a fork seal kit. 2 seals 2 dust seals and a litre of fork oil. Got one side done, looked in the book to see how much oil it takes... 590ml each side..

WADR, I don't think 90 mls each side will make much difference, assuming you aren't planning trackdays ?

I'd say it might, it's missing nearly a sixth of the total capacity and someone cleverer than us designed it to use that much.

I called into Blade in Swindon this morning. Millions of pairs of cheapo Chinese gloves, Loads of XS lids and jackets, no fork oil...

Older Hondas use to use auto transmission fluid IIRC. Might be easier to get, drain the old new stuff out and keep until you have more maybe?

No mad rush now the Fazers sorted (Touching wood) and I may well be in a proper bike shop tomorrow anyway.

Well this is awkward.. I had almost decided to splash out on a new front tyre, and it appears the choice of 120/60s is a bit limited.. In fact Black circles dont have any.. I was hoping to get a Pilot road 4 but they arent made in a 120/60. any recommendations? I have a part worn 120/70 here...
Edit. Mytyres do a pair of Pilot powers for 159 quid....

Try tyre tech trading, they are dirt cheap, pilot powers were 139/pair last time I looked earlier this week.

Wasn't 120/65/17 a common swap on anything with a 120/60? In case a 120/70 hits the mudguard or radiator.
