Yeah they picked all the bikes up for both meetings last Friday. It was some effort due to the weather. Still can’t believe everyone involved pulled it off.

Well Cartagena has come and gone, not without its highs and lows!
The GSXR blew its valve cover gasket on the first session of the first day. I guess I was lucky as there was oil all down the off side of the bike, I reckon one more lap and Iíd have slid off into the litter or worse.
Took a while to source a new gasket, I had to get one from the main dealer in Murcia, at 10am the next morning, had the bike all stripped in the first afternoon and ready for the new part and back together for 1pm on the second day. So I pretty much missed half of the event.

The things that I noticed were:
    People were really friendly.

Supercorsa SC1ís produce a crazy amount of grip and even when you think youíre going too fast, the best course of action is just throw it into the corner.

I might be quick on the roads, but the track is completely different and while I made a good account of myself, Iím definitely not quick.

Watched a young and up and coming Scotsman called Adam Lyon, destroy the other fast guys in a 6 lap fun race even when he was running out of fuel on the penultimate lap. He did 4 laps in the high 1.30s in the race when his best lap was 1.44 in the sessions. Just mind blowing.

Iím going to be skint a lot, because it was an amazing experience! :-)

Total emotional rollercoaster that first day Weeksy. I thought my week was over to be honest. Big Steve Crighton took the Wednesday morning off to drive me up to Murcia, as I was going to have to hire a car for myself as stupidly weíd only put AndiG on the insurance for our car, thatís a lesson learned too, always put two guys on the insurance. Couldnít have asked for anymore really.

My nearest circuit is Jerez. Might see you there one day

Funny you should say that, we had actually booked Jerez for October, but we changed it to Alcarras because itís during the Scottish October school holidays and the flights which are normally about £70 were £250, plus Jerez was £200 more expensive than Alacarras.
