Default Help needed with home PC and TLS settings pls.

Hi. Son is trying to log onto school site to do homework and he can get all the way except the last link that says TLS setting mumbo jumbo etc. I have googled and checked settings manually and as far as I know they are set right. Have this problem for ie and Firefox. Help pls. Tia

It says cannot connect securely to this page
Because site uses outdated or unsafe TLS security settings.

Tried to upload a photo from phone but not playing ball.

The certificate on the webshite might be using a SHA-1 cypher which is depreciated on most browsers. It's not a problem with your pooter, it's a problem with the site.

Is it a school site? Greenman might have some knowledge of the sort of out-of-date shit they might be using.

Try using Chrome as a browser, it's less fussy about certificates than IE

9 times out of 10 its due to older TLS settings being disabled in the browser. You can check this in the advanced options of the browser. TLS 1.0, 2.0, 3.0.
