    OlŠ meus amigos,

Myself and SP are going to Portimao on the 1st November, 4 days on track @ £499 with Focused Events. Bike transport and 4 star hotel included.

The flights we booked are £220 each leaving Wed 31st Oct home on the last track day Sunday 4th Nov.

    In anticipation of the usual...

Yes I know it works out a lot per day... But its warmer, it's 4 days so you really get to know the track, it's a holiday, it's Portimao, it's better than Silverstone and by the time you factor in getting to Silverstone, and staying at a crappy Travelodge, it's not that bad value. As a bonus if you leave it till next year you may find your Euros are more expensive, you need full medical insurance, and you have to pay for a visa

Its my favourite so far as well, but I haven't done as many as everyone else. I know there was talk of a TRC euro extravaganza, I'll consider this a recon mission.

I've only done Cartegna and Jerez otherwise. Jerez is amazing and fast, Cartegena is brilliant and curly (bit like a Mallory on steroids!) - but Portimao has the best of both! Love the blind exits and the way the track drops away from you at one point - the only way I can wheelie! LOL

So consider the way the track drops away from you, especially the fast 3 story drop right turn onto the pit lane straight, and consider that last time I rode it my right peg was held on with a lidl zip tie it held... so lidl rocks

Did Cartagena in March and just back from Alcarras last week. Shared a garage with 4 guys from Durham and I think Iím going to go to Portimao with them next September. They said it was a difficult track to learn but once you get used to it, itís brilliant.
Loved Alcarras though, miles better than Cartagena, donít think Iíd rush back there, after the Alcarras experience.

there's a couple of blind entry/blind exits that are a challenge. and two of the corners have similar approaches, but very different corners!! But once you get it, it is all WOW factor!!

(Sorry - can you tell some friends are just going there now and I'm very envious!!!)
