    Default Yellow Alternator Light ?

Sometimes on the Beta X-Trainer, the yellow alternator light on the dash stays on the whole journey. There's no pattern, but it's about 50% of the time

I just tested it with a meter and it showed 12.65 with engine off and high 13s with engine running. Twice the yellow light stayed on, and again it showed high 13s

Also I could see the headlight shining brighter when engine revved, so it's charging OK

Is there a problem or something to worry about? I'm worried about getting stuck somewhere very remote

The guy who runs the shop is OK, but obviously a language problem, so don't wanna take it back unless it's a real problem.

The bike supposedly has a warranty, but not sure how good it will be.

Do you get the same voltages when the light is on?
Have you read the handbook, it might mean something other than a charging problem.

Because I have way too much time, I've just had a look at the manual online.

Yellow light in the bottom right hand corner of the clocks?

That's not the alternator light, it's the MIL.

    Is it this clock?

    Malfunction Indicator Lamp/Light.

Often called the check engine light.

You need to get it hooked up to a diag machine and get the codes read.

    It means she is gazuntershyzen

FWIW I tried two wireless code reading dongles and three software packages. All permutations either didn't work or made the car appear to have other problems (not through codes - though shit appearing to go wrong).
