I've got a trailer here. four wheels, brakes, quite a solid old thing. Thing is the brake cables are missing. theres the fittings poking out of the bake plates, a pair of pulleys in the middle of the chassis level with the back wheels and a Bradley hitch, but nothing in between. Where do I start? It's going to get a new floor shortly so I'd like to get the brakes sorted first to save scrabbling about underneath. as well as avoiding getting run over on the drive..

No real rush on the brakes as I have to sort this mess out first.

Looks fairly straight forward. Does the hitch activate the brakes when you slow down? or rather, would it if it were all connected?

Or is it basically a parking brake?

Are you up to date on tetanus shots? I'd be cleaning the brakes up & giving it some Rustoleum Rattlecan Restoration.

Over run and a hand brake lever pulling the same lever. At the moment it looks like everything between the drill and the tape measure will be chopped out and replaced, or if the suspension units are as bad as the rest the whole thing will get chopped up and thrown on the pile
