FWIW my main phone is now a Samsung S3. It works fine with a new battery off ebay for sod all. Well it's works fine, but android is old, some apps won't work on it & it's a bit of a slug. I have an S2 as well, same thing.
What they have both done is strip a bit of a rosey tint from my eyes. I had believed that my fav form factor of all time was that S2. You try texting on the larger S3-it's a mm or two too small for precision. S2 god knows how I managed with it.
However the deal killer is the camera. I use one a lot & these simply are not good enough.
Iphone 4S looks comparable to S2: https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php...&idPhone2=3621
I wouldn't even bother even if it was working perfectly well.
