    Lol, yeah. IIRC (which I probably don't) some guy in the UK popped the chute when he got lost.

    edit:- I did get the details wrong. He apparently got disorientated on an instrument approach https://www.gov.uk/aaib-reports/cirr...ct-6-june-2013 and so 'pulled the pin'.

    Definitely used a starting handle on an Alvis TA14 and on the Lister stationary engine, probably on an A35 in the past too

    Not since the 80's when we used to have diesel dump trucks on sites, lungs that was a while ago.
