Is it pronounced Morris, like the car or More Rees, like the song?

If it's really just the seating position, have you thought about trying a funduro seat on there?

I had a g650 sertao seat on my f650 in place of the low factory seat, made it a lot nicer.

Seat look exactly the same to me. Issue is with the seat shape it pushes my ample buttocks forward and the bars have me upright so it aggravates my lower back after 50 miles or so. so my commute is a no no.

Julian it is pronounced anyway you like but normally the same as the late great Mr Chevalier.

I realised after I posted that I'm in no position to try and poke fun at someone's name, I went through school putting up with people thinking calling me Julie was the most hilarious thing ever.

Looks like you're right, the Dakar was the later model.

If you like the idea of the bike but it doesn't fit, try a later model. Twin spark is apparently much more economical, anything from 2001ish onwards takes the same seats, Dakar came stock with a higher seat.
