Absolute rubbish. We're having a discussion, statements people make will be questioned.

Though people only capable of spouting unfounded statements will say what you're just said and to same type will agree with you as some form of absolution to ever forming a reasoned debate.

It's a misapprehension that seems to afflict middle aged white blokes more than most....there is not a master list of what is and isn't racist You have to figure it out for yourself.

Throw your toys out all you like, I'll keep asking and you'll never ever be able to supply the answer.

If you wanna convince people you're sincere in questions maybe don't start with an insult.

So still no answer then? More over talking to over talk and steer away from the question?

Common sense tells me gammon is not a racist term but common sense doesn't mean what it used to. What does it matter what I think anyway in a world where boys can be girls if they so decide?

There is a case to be made either way, time will tell but it won't be anyone here who gets to decide.

How do you know that you aren't racist?

It's a serious question. We've all met stupid people who don't realise they're stupid. How would a racist who thinks he isn't a racist get to know that he is a racist?

How do YOU know that you aren't racist?

Not gammon? Educated guess here. All racists are gammons too. Fact. Show me a picture of 1 racist who is not a gammon? I rest my case.

Got any proof to back up your rhetoric of calling people racist?

No? Of course not. Just the same tripe over and over.

Surely it is about intent. You don't intend to be stupid.

    Or, one doesn't.

So I've been out for about a month, and I come back into this thread and it's the same old discussion of moral outrage at the use of the 'racist' term Gammon (tell you what, go have a wander around Tottenham Hale proclaiming your righteous indignation about that and let me know how you get on), and leavers denying that any of the economic issues we face are to do with Brexit, and then pointing out that we've caused bigger issues in the rest of Europe, as if that justifies the harm we are causing ourselves.

I really fucking despair at what we've become sometimes. There are huge swathes of the country who deserve the shitstorm that they have kicked up. It's just a shame that everyone else has to suffer as well.

The government have set up operation kingfisher. A cash fund to help businesses cope with the losses and cash flow issues a hard brexit will cause.

Tell me, if brexit will cause no economic issues, why, especially in a time of the government not being especially flush, would they feel the need to set up such a fund?
