Nice to see a change at the top step for FP. And how is it that Smith is faster than Pedrosa and his own KTM Team mate.

Crutchlow has injured himself and is out of the race. Vinales has the bike working again. Petrucci is leading Ducati.

Redding behind Torres, he's given up hasn't he.

Cal may have broken a leg from the clip I saw.

Why do people post first FP times and assume it'll have some relevance to race pace?

Well Dovi won't be last and Redding won't be top, so there's something in it at the least.

And that's about as accurate a forecast as you'll get short of reading it in the tea leaves.

So we shouldn't post about it? Ummmm. Whilst it may not tell us everything, it tells us that Yamaha are struggling still, lap after lap off the pace. It told us Bautista was doing well and MM of course was pushing like always.

Marquez back on top. There were spots of rain on the track and according to Rossi, you needed "big balls" to really go for it.

Excellent racing. Zarco was a lucky boy to walk away from that crash.

The General (Zarco) looked properly shaken up when he came back to the pits. He had that looked that I imagine I did when I nearly got hit by a truck on the North Circ many many years ago. I had to stop on the next slip road and get off the bike and sit down for 5 mins. He was a very lucky boy not to have got hurt.

Marc's bike looked beat up too, also reminded me of an incident from my long distant past. When the seat on my 625 KTM SMC came off entering a roundabout and I was trying to hold it on with my arse cheeks whilst also get around the roundabout alright
