Centuries ago, I used Cow Gum for gluing together pieces of paper. It was great because you could wipe away any excess without damaging the paper. Itís no longer made although you can get Studio Glue which is similar but very expensive.

Iím having to use Pritt Stick with a scalpel but itís not easy. Do you have any suggestions as to any glue that can easily be removed from the waste area when dry?

    Thank You

I didn’t know they stopped making cow gum, but then I suppose I haven’t used it for so long I didn’t miss it.

what about the rubber solution glue in puncture repair boxes as a potential alternative.

    Cheers boys.

Will try the puncture outfit glue.

Not had good luck with PVA - too runny. Pritt stick is sort of better because it’s semi solid and spreadable but not as forgiving as cow gum.

From (a somewhat hazy) memory, everything at primary school was stuck with Copydex. Not sure I'm adding anything to the thread but thanks for evoking a 45 year old reminiscence Korks

45 years! Probably correct. They used it in a studio where I worked as a youngster. Great times watching the photographers using a barely visible sort of sellotape on model’s tits before doing a shoot. And then along came Photoshop.

I’m going to get some of the Copydex and give it a try. If nothing else I can use it for patching up old jeans.

I use Pritt sticks quite a bit Korks, usually for joining plans together. I use another, scrap piece of paper along the join line so that I can spread the Pritt shit right up to the line but not have to worry about excess elsewhere.

I’ve been sticking bits of card together and have discovered the stuff sold as fabric glue works rather well, it seems to be a thick pva as far as I can tell but it’s grippy and dries quickly
